Shawn Great out of the box thinking. ;D Such a unique way to share your message and you are so right the people opening up the mail for these companies are not going to be the CEO and your 100$ may be just what they need to see and get them thinking out of the box and send them out to their destiny. Love the creativity, thank you for sharing. Look forward to more out of the box ideas from you.

You got it Linda and Paul.

Sometimes in marketing you have to think outside of the box and look at the resources that are given to you. I know if I saw this while working in a mail room , it would spark interest and have me thinking. Thanks for your comment I look forward to sharing more Kung-Fu marketing tips.

    SHAWN:

Great tip!…I have used this from time to time over the years. Lately I have seen the ‘$100.00 Bill’ on the business card board at my local latte stand.

    Matt

    • Shawn Johnson October 7, 2010, 6:50 pm

Yes, Matt it is a good technique of what a person can do NOW.
I wonder what response are the 100 dollar bill drop cards are getting on that local board being the surprise is gone. But any rate it is a great what I like to call Kung-Fu Marketing Technique.

      Thanks buddy for your feedback.

  • Cas February 18, 2013, 10:25 am

    Shawn,
I have been using drop cards for years… It got to a point where I kept changing and adding so often that I finally created my own and now just print them when I need them. I insert them into just about everything I get with self-addressed envelopes. (SAE) Sometimes I will add a note on the form that comes with them… Thanks for sharing…
    Cas

    • Shawn Johnson February 18, 2013, 10:28 am

That awesome Cas! I love drop cards and its just another rejection free tool you can use to grow your business whatever that may be. Testing and tweaking it is great as well so tracking it is crucial so you know if it is working or not. Glad you enjoy look forward to see you commenting again. Thanks!

Hello shawn, how are u today? where can i get those free post mail evlop from? & how many of them can i get?, i love that idea, great video.

    • Shawn Johnson December 8, 2013, 11:04 am

      Hello Carlos,

Just check your mail when you get some advertisement from a credit card company or any other vendor. They usually provide a self stamped envelope for you to send in their packet.

Like I said they pay the postage you provide the drop card :-).

      I hope this helps.

  • Garrett Lynch December 10, 2013, 12:06 am

      Garrett,

Yes simple and effective when you use them it consistently.

I definitely would pick it up if I saw it on the ground.

Hey 100 bucks is 100 bucks!

      Thanks for responding champ.
